Thank You Kansas Watchdog for the excellent work you do. My camera's battery just couldn't make it to the second half.

Why I support Dan Gilyeat
By Michael Middleton,
Kansas City, KS

Because I feel like someone like him belongs in the House of Representatives, the People's House. Because my son goes to the same middle school as his daughter, so I know he sees what the opportunities and challenges face our school system, unlike a lot of politicians who talk all about the needs to improve the public school system, oppose school vouchers and school choice, all the while sending their own kids to exclusive private schools.

Because he has made huge sacrifices for this country, but instead of being resentful, he is asking "What else can I do, how else can I help?"

Because when my tax bill comes due, unlike Rep. Rangel and Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner, I have to pay up my taxes and if I'm late pay penalties, not re-do my taxes three times and say he didn't know any better, even though they are the people who write and enforce the bloated Tax Code.

Mr. Gilyeat seems to be a lot more like me than like them.

Because I have never cared to volunteer for any person running for any office, but Mr. Gilyeat is the first person in a long time to actually inspire me. If he wants to enter the political fight, then the least I owe my family and this country is to support a candidate I can believe in.

I hope you find these reasons sufficient to merit your consideration.

Best regards,

Michael Middleton

Hey Dan,I saw you the first time on the TV Show, Extreme Makeover, and let me tell you something, you are what every Marine strives to be: a man with Integrity, conviction, honor and loyalty. I was impressed, and you well deserved what you received from the show. I was very moved that you are a very loving father!! So now I see that you are running for congress, well good for you, we need more men like you in congress. I will be following your race, and although I don't live in your state, I live in California,I back you up 100% and I will keep you in my prayers.
